IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL ALERT
RH is recalling all items in the Smythson Shagreen Furniture Collection (except round tables) sold between December 1, 2015, and June 30, 2017.
Our clients' safety is of the utmost importance to us. We have learned that the metal trim on the Smythson Shagreen items can detach from the frame, creating a potentially dangerous, sharp point. Therefore, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, RH is recalling Smythson Shagreen items sold between December 1, 2015, and June 30, 2017.
We are recalling all items in the Smythson Shagreen Collection except the round side tables and round coffee tables, which do not pose the same potential danger. The recalled items (examples shown below) include beds, nightstands, dressers, sideboards, side tables and coffee tables in various sizes and finish/color combinations, clad in shagreen-embossed leather with metal trim on all edges.
If you think you have a recalled Smythson Shagreen item, please note the following important information:
- Please immediately discontinue use of the recalled item and contact RH for a full refund + 25% of the purchase price of that item, or a replacement item up to 125% of the purchase price of the recalled item.
- At your request, we will dispatch our White Glove delivery service to pick up the recalled item at a time convenient for you, at no charge.
- Our dedicated team of designers is ready to assist you over the phone with your replacement selection, or you may visit your local RH Gallery and meet with an RH interior designer in person.

Alternatively, when visiting RH.com, select "Product Recalls" from the drop-down menu on our Contact Us page and provide your contact info. One of our dedicated customer service representatives will help answer any questions you might have and process a refund or replacement for you.
