19th C. French Court Document 1
On August 12, 1851, in the rural town of Lavardens, France, a Messr. Lézian received news of victory in a court case regarding his land. After the decision was announced, these papers were filed to record the proceedings and grant him 760.72 francs, an award ratified by the city's gracious coat of arms. Masterfully reproduced to capture the translucence of the parchment, the grace of the script and even the folds and fading of the paper, the document survives today as an elegant vestige of a bygone era.
