19th C. Timber Calipers
To measure the diameter of tree trunks, lumberjacks of the late 1800s used giant calipers with jaws large enough to gauge the most massive timbers. Ours are an exact reproduction of a pair we found in France, with smooth handles of oak and pine and tips of antiqued metal.
