English 8-Balustrade Console Table
- No Longer Available -
An antique barrel stand, discovered at England's renowned Swinderby flea market, lent its genteel patina and unique construction to our table. In the 19th century, balusters were often created from 4 sections of wood, laminated together and then hand-turned on a lathe. We've recreated those balusters true to the antique originals, crafted of solid reclaimed elm with a plank top. Each table is then sanded to achieve an aged patina.
- Crafted from solid reclaimed elm, with 8 hand-turned balusters and a solid top
- Versatile enough to work behind a sofa or in an entry, hallway or dining room
- By their nature, unsealed salvaged wood planks may be somewhat uneven, and may cup or bow slightly over time, further enhancing their rustic one-of-a-kind character; cracks may be present
- Wood is unfinished and unwaxed
- For normal daily care, dust with a feather duster or wipe with a clean, dry cloth
- This item is artisan crafted with meticulous care. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations in the wood are to be expected and celebrated. Each item is unique and no two are exactly alike.
