Windsor Side Chair
In early 1700s England, the Windsor chair was a staple of country inns, where it was used for relaxed indoor and outdoor dining. Before long, this emblem of hospitality made its way to America, where master carpenters in colonial Philadelphia, New York and Boston refined the lines. Our solid oak chair reproduces that early 19th-century American style, with a timeless hoop-back, saddle seat and hand-turned spindles and legs joined by 3 stretchers. A weathered, drifted finish lends it time-worn appeal.
