We discovered an antique fragment of an iron baluster framed by mirror-image medallions, and replicated it for our floor lamp. Like the original ornamental ironwork – a feature of French gates and gardens since the 1600s – it's been forged and hammered into enduring beauty. An elegant andiron base supports it.
