Leo Salvaged Wood & Metal Planters
$495 - $695 Special $395 - $555
A regal cast iron lion, sculpted in the style of a 19th-century French architectural ornament, graces two sides of our planter built from reclaimed Norwegian timbers. Polish furniture crafters build these containers, modeled after styles from 19th-century European orangeries, by hand, setting them on cast iron claw feet and trimming them with cold-forged iron rims.
- 2-inch-thick planks, once used by Belgian brickmakers to dry their bricks, are rich with character, evidencing nicks and shadows that make each container unique; no two planters are exactly alike
- Bears the hallmarks of old wood with cracks and other imperfections; pastic liner recommended
- Seasoned by time and exposure, and substantial enough to insulate tender roots, the wood is well-suited to year-round life in the garden
- Iron is top-coated with a clear finish to resist rust
- Made in Poland
- Planters are drilled for drainage holes; liners not included
